UPS Inc. and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters will resume labor contract negotiations for the week starting July 24. The talks had stalled on July 5, despite the agreement on major issues like two-tier pay, overtime, and vehicle air conditioning. UPS is committed to boosting its industry-leading pay and benefits, and seeks a fair deal providing certainty to customers, employees, and businesses. Teamsters leadership has been meeting with its 340,000 UPS workers to discuss potential actions, including a strike if their demands are not met by the current contract's expiry on July 31.

Transportation stakeholders are closely watching the outcome of these high-profile negotiations.

For us, UPS went from getting >90% of our shipments, to "0" of the last 97 orders. USPS Ground Advantage absolutly smoked their prices, and delivery times are excellent pic.twitter.com/gBTUtoUtgp— Tom Munro (@wthomasmunro) July 19, 2023
