Redwood Logistics Acquires Rockfarm Supply Chain Solutions

Chicago-based Redwood Logistics announced its acquisition of Rockfarm Supply Chain Solutions, significantly increasing Redwood's geographical reach and customer base. The deal is expected to boost Redwood's presence in the Upper Midwest and Northern Plains, where Rockfarm has a solid footprint. Additionally, Rockfarm brings to the table international freight forwarding, trade compliance, and customs brokerage capabilities, enhancing Redwood's current services.

Integration and Growth

Following the acquisition, Redwood's total freight under management across its 3PL and 4PL services is set to reach $5.5 billion. Rockfarm will operate as an independent entity initially but will eventually be integrated into Redwood. The key leadership, management teams, and ownership of Rockfarm will transition to become Redwood employees, with Rockfarm's Dubuque operations center continuing as a Redwood logistics center.
