Echo Logistics Partners with Masters Contender Denny McCarthy

Echo Global Logistics has made a strategic play by sponsoring golfer Denny McCarthy at the 2024 Valero Open. The Chicago-based freight brokerage, with a network of over 50,000 transport providers and 35,000 clients, is taking a swing at enhancing its brand visibility in the sports arena.

Echo Imitating Viral Moment?

The move makes a lot of sense after the Wilmington-based freight brokerage MegaCorp had a viral moment after its sponsorship of golfer Brian Harman paid off in a major way. Harman won the Open Championship and left folks wondering about the 'MegaCorp' emblazoned on his cap. This led to a 5,000% increase in website traffic for the company.

Denny McCarthy: Rising StarMcCarthy's performance at the Valero Texas Open earned him second place, proving that Echo's investment might be the hole-in-one they were aiming for.

McCarthy has shown notable performance on the PGA Tour, highlighted by a strong 2024 season leading into the Masters at Augusta.

For the Masters, he's aiming to leverage his skills, notably in driving accuracy and strokes gained putting. McCarthy's recent stats show a promising trend, with a top-five finish in one of his last five appearances and consistent cuts made, indicating readiness for his first Masters in five years.

Prediction: As McCarthy's star rises, so will Echo's brand, leveraging the power of sports to drive unprecedented engagement and visibility in the freight sector.

A 28 on the back nine and second place finish at the @valerotxopen! A historic performance and a ton of momentum heading into the season’s first major!
